E-Cigarette Scam: Knight Sticks

This is a new one, Knight Sticks. E-Cigarettes are 'electronic cigarettes' which allow smokers to inhale nicotine like a normal cigarette, but without the tar and smoke. E-Cigarettes sold online use something called "negative option" which automatically signs trial buyers up for a monthly commitment to buy more cigarettes.

Knight Sticks
are being advertised online at popular websites. The ads claim that buyers can try a sample of Knight Sticks for little money and no obligation. However, the fine print on the sign up form has more information not generally included in the ads.

The sign up form says the trial is "Risk Free*", but the camouflaged link of terms and conditions for Knight Sticks has the actual details of how that trial works.

Here is the first charge..

When you order the FREE Trial of Knight Sticks your credit card will be charged only $9.95 shipping and handling

Then the big charge afterward..

At the end of your 10 day trial period you will be charged $99.90 for the e-cigarette package you received.

This trial period starts when the buyer orders Knight Sticks, not after they receive them.

Then the offer continues..

Every 30 days thereafter you will be sent a month supply of 15 Knight Sticks refill cartridges and your credit card on file will be billed $49.90 plus $9.95 shipping and handling.

E-Cigarettes are the latest trend sweeping the nation and Knight Sticks are a new brand. But buyers should carefully read the fine print when purchasing any product online.
